The Lorain Lighthouse Foundation is celebrating the Fourth of July with a “Fireworks Picnic”.  This Lighthouse event will be held on Thursday July 4, 2024 (weather permitting) and offers a “spectacular” view of the annual fireworks display sponsored by the Lorain Port and Financing Authority.   The fireworks will be launched from the Port Authority’s Mile Long Pier.

The “Fireworks” picnic will be held at the Lighthouse and includes Lemon Pepper Baked Chicken, Glazed BBQ Ribs, pulled pork, Honey Bacon Baked Beans, Macaroni Salad, Cole Slaw and apple pie with, beer, wine, soft drinks and water.  The picnic is catered by Dayna’s Events/Great Lakes Catering.  The cost per person is $125 (includes tip).

You may also make reservations by calling 440-752-8955.  There is a limited number of 50 reservations available, so please call early.  With the exception of service animals, pets ARE NOT ALLOWED at the Lighthouse.

This is a fantastic way to celebrate our Nation’s Independence Day at one of Ohio’s most beautiful venues.  The evening includes a boat ride to and from the lighthouse and a brief guided tour of the lighthouse (departing from the Black River Wharf Boat Launch Located at 1355 Black River Parkway in Lorain).
